Additionally, the borrower utilized a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) entity structure that worked very well to achieve his objectives, but is unfamiliar to many lenders.
Andy identified a correspondent life insurance company that was able to understand the unique value of the location and lock the rate at application—in a rapidly rising rate environment. Though the DST structure caused some turbulence during the closing process, the CommCap team was able to manage the lender concerns and push the loan across the finish line.
