Shelly Dunbar serves as a Senior Vice President at CommCap Advisors, specializing in loan origination. She brings several years of commercial real estate experience to her role, combining analytical expertise with a deep understanding of market dynamics.

Prior to rejoining CommCap, Shelly worked for Nevada State Bank in Reno, where she focused on business development for commercial lending. Earlier in her career, she served as an Analyst at CommCap, where she reviewed and underwrote complex commercial loans.

​

Shelly also held the role of Director of Marketing at Northcap Commercial, overseeing marketing operations for over 2,500 condominium and multifamily units. During her tenure, she successfully launched more than ten real estate projects, maintained brand standards, and supported the COO with property operations. Her background also includes positions as Preconstruction Coordinator for The Penta Building Group and Real Estate Analyst Intern for Triple Net Properties.

Shelly earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and Marketing) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Community Involvement

A strong advocate for community engagement, Shelly has served on numerous boards and committees, including:

• UNLV Alumni Board and ULI Management Committee, where she chaired the Fundraising Committee.

• Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, serving as both a board member and Chairwoman of the Fundraising Committee.

  • While with Helping Hands, she founded the charity’s annual fundraiser, “Shoot for Seniors.”

She is also a proud graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2011 and the NAIOP Developing Leaders Institute (Class of 2014), and has participated in NAIOP Northern Nevada and Reno’s CCIM Chapter.
